In 2000 I purchased 250 oak trunks from the local forestry commission, just 2 miles from my workshop.

At the same time I was lucky enough to find a Victorian Stenner and Gun saw bench with an 18’ sliding bed and a 4’6” circular blade. The bench is belt driven from an old Fordson Major tractor and gives a lovely straight cut.

I am able to offer air dried Devon oak boards, beams, and lintels, up to 12 x 12 inch x 30 foot. And I also have a selection of mature and green oak trunks with unusual shapes and burrs, ideal for sculptors and architectural features.
