Classic stove with extra special legs!

I began making wood burners in 1995, starting with a 5ft propane cylinder laid horizontally on a large lorry wheel rim. The idea of recycling old gas cylinders into stoves is and old one, and many people were doing it before me. I have created my own distinctive design from the original.

Classic Stove with star window

Our classic stoves are made from quality steel and feature a 6mm internal baffle to prevent the flames from going up the chimney, and to encourage secondary combustion, and a 5mm steel hotplate perfect for boiling a kettle or cooking on.

Our classic door features a circular or shaped window with heat proof glass, and is sealed with fire rope fitted into its own channel as opposed to simply glued into place. I use a separate bottle to cut out the door, so that it is bigger than the hole in the stove. This gives an overlap all the way round and creates space for a fire rope seal to be added.

Inserting the fire rope into it’s channel.

The fire rope seal lasts for about 5 years with heavy use, and is easily and cheaply replaced. Simply pull out the old fire rope and insert the new rope into the channel. All our door hinges are made from stainless steel.

Our signature tubular air inlets allow a fully adjustable air intake and easy regulation. Stoves are built with or without fire bricks, and I have built several stoves with back boilers to provide hot water.

Extra Large stove at Mount Plesant Eco Park

Along side our Classic stoves, we create wood burning solutions to fit more specific requirements, and a wide range of spaces.
This front loading large capacity wood burner was created for Mount Pleasant Eco Park to heat their Functions Barn. Degined to take 4ft lengths of fire wood, and with a large back boiler heating radiators, this super sized stove keeps the Barn warm all winter.

Tiny Classic Stove on a post for Camper Van

We can work with much smaller spaces as well though. Tiny stoves for vehicles and tight squeezes are no problem. The stove below was designed to fit into a very narrow alcove in a camper van, so it’s made to be loaded from the top and features a flip top hot plate still large enough to boil a kettle on.

All stoves should be sited on a heat proof surface, and used in a well ventilated room fitted with a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm due to regulations and safety precautions.
